The Kansas State Wildcats and the Indiana Hoosiers meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Bloomington Assembly Hall. Here’s a Kansas State vs Indiana prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Kansas State vs Indiana pick.

Kansas State Wildcats Betting Preview

The Wildcats have been playing at a pretty steady clip so far this year; they’ve got a half-dozen wins in the bag. Kansas State was able to win each of their first five outings, starting with a 93-64 opener victory over UNC Greensboro. The Wildcats followed that up with a 98-71 win over Bellarmine, then took out California in a tight one 99-96. An even closer finish occurred on November 17 versus Tulsa, as the Wildcats eked out an 84-83 win. Game five was a little easier though, as Kansas State dispatched Mississippi State 98-77 for a 5-0 start to the season.

The Wildcats took their first loss last Friday versus Nebraska. Kansas State was down by 10 points 45-35 at the break, but made a game of it in the second half with a 50-41 run in an eventual loss 86-85. PJ Haggerty put up 27 points with seven assists and six rebounds to lead the way, while Abdi Bashir put up 26 points, three rebounds and two assists. Nate Johnson chipped in 12 points, five rebounds and four assists as well.

Indiana Hoosiers Betting Preview

Over on the Indiana side, they have five games in the bag so far. The Hoosiers kicked off their year with a blowout 98-51 win over Alabama A&M, then took out Marquette 100-77 in game two. Game three was another blowout, this time 101-70 over Milwaukee. The matchup with Incarnate Word was closer but still a win for the Hoosiers, as they took it 69-61 on November 16. The result was a nice 4-0 run through Indiana’s first four outings.

The Hoosiers were able to keep it going with a win over Lindenwood last Thursday. In that one Indiana jumped out to a 34-18 halftime edge then cruised from there on a 39-35 second half for a 73-53 blowout win. Topping the team was Tucker DeVries with 25 points, three rebounds and three assists. The only other player to score in double-digits was Lamar Wilkerson with 10 options, four boards and two assists. Sam Alexis chips in eight points with 10 rebounds in the victory effort, however.

Kansas State vs Indiana Prediction

I’ll stick with Kansas State. The Wildcats had a slow first half in the Nebraska game and couldn’t bridge the gap in the end. Kansas State ended up shooting 43.5 percent from the field with a nice 19-of-22 (86.4 percent) from the line and 19 team assists. The Wildcats committed 13 turnovers however, and got blasted in the paint at a 48-24 disadvantage. That said, Kansas State has had a pretty good run so far and they’re scoring well. The Wildcats have 84 or more points in all six games.

As for Indiana, they didn’t have too many issues with Lindenwood in their latest win despite shooting just 37.7 percent from the field. The Hoosiers got out-rebounded 40-36 and got outscored in the paint 22-20 though, so those stats are a bit troubling. Indiana may have issues keeping pace with Kansas State if the Wildcats really get going on offense.
