The Southeast Louisiana Lions and the Iowa State Cyclones meet in college basketball action from the Hilton Coliseum on Sunday afternoon.

The Southeast Louisiana Lions will look to bounce back from an 86-60 loss to Louisville in their last game. Gus Okafor leads the Lions in scoring with 12.8 PPG along with 5.3 RPG while Keon Clergeot has 12.5 PPG with a team-high 3.5 APG to lead the Lions in assists. Jalyn Hinton has 11.5 PPG with a team-high 7.5 RPG to lead the Lions in rebounding and to round out the group of double-digit scorers for the Lions up to this point in the season. As a team, Southeast Louisiana is averaging 78.7 PPG on 43.8% shooting from the field, 33% from three and 73.3% from the foul line while allowing 74.2 PPG on 44.8% shooting from the field and 33.6% from three this season.

The Iowa State Cyclones will look to remain unbeaten after a 47-37 win over Jackson State last time out. Izaiah Brockington leads the Cyclones in scoring and rebounding with 16.6 PPG and 7.7 RPG while Gabe Kalscheur has 11.6 PPG and Tyrese Hunter has 11 PPG with a team-high 5.2 APG to lead the Cyclones in assists and to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for Iowa State so far this season. As a team, Iowa State is averaging 72.1 PPG on 44.3% shooting from the field, 35% from three and 68.9% from the foul line while allowing 57.1 PPG on 37.8% shooting from the field and 25.1% from three this season.

Southeast Louisiana is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 road games against a team with a home winning percentage above .600. Iowa State is 1-8-1 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record and 1-9-1 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400 while the under is 5-0-1 in their last 6 Sunday games.

I think you could make a case for the Cyclones but I think the safer bet is the under as the Cyclones have stifled lesser teams this season and I don’t expect very much from the Lions in this matchup. I look for the Cyclones to take care of business but my stronger play here is taking the game to finish under the number.
