The Ole Miss Rebels and the Iowa Hawkeyes meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Acrisure Stadium. Here’s an Iowa vs Ole Miss prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Iowa vs Ole Miss pick.
Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview
The Rebels have looked pretty good so far. They’ve got five games in the can and five victories in those outings. Ole Miss started with an 88-58 blowout win over Southeastern Louisiana in their opener, then took out LA-Monroe 86-65 in game two. Game three was another victory, but this one was much closer with an 83-77 finish versus Memphis. The Rebels got back to double-digits in their victory over Cal State Bakersfield, taking out the Roadrunners by a score of 82-60 in game four.
Matched up against Austin Peay last Tuesday, the Rebels went into halftime with a 31-23 edge. Ole Miss got outscored 42-41 the rest of the way but held on for the win 72-65 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Malik Dia with 18 points, seven boards and two assists. Ilias Kamardine added 15 points with seven boards and seven assists, while AJ Storr had 11 points with three rebounds and three assists for the Rebels in the winning effort.
Iowa Hawkeyes Betting Preview
Over on the Iowa side, they’ve got five games in the books this year and have yet to record a blemish. The Hawkeyes kicked off the season with a 101-69 win over Robert Morris, then blew out Western Illinois by a score of 77-58 in game two. As for game three, Iowa took out Xavier without too much difficulty 81-62. Game four was another win, this time 99-70 versus Southeast Missouri State to keep the Hawkeyes’ unbeaten run going.
Iowa notched another victory back on Thursday in their latest outing versus Chicago State. The Hawkeyes were ahead 40-24 by the break, then hit a 53-30 run the rest of the way in a blowout win 93-54. Tavion Banks topped the team on a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds while Alvaro Folgueiras had 14 points with six boards and four assists. Tate Sage added 13 points with three rebounds in 16 minutes and Cooper Koch kicked in 10 points with two boards in the win.

Iowa vs Ole Miss Prediction
I’ll just stay with Iowa. The Hawkeyes beat up on a winless Chicago State team in their latest outing and got some minutes for a lot of different players on the roster. Iowa shot a nice 56.9 percent in that one with a 35-20 rebounding edge, 26 team assists and just six turnovers. The Hawkeyes hit 15-of-19 (78.9 percent) from the line and had a 42-24 advantage on points in the paint. That gives Iowa 77 or more points in all five games so far, and they’ve held opponents below 71 points in each of those outings as well.
As for Ole Miss, they slowed down a bit in the second half versus Austin Peay and ended up getting outmuscled on the boards 39-34 (16-10 offensive). The Rebels held the Govs to just 35.7 percent shooting on defense, though. Ole Miss has 72 or more points in all five games so far, with 82 or more in four of those. We could have a very big total in this one.
