The Stetson Hatters will travel to Swisher Gymnasium to take on the Jacksonville Dolphins this Tuesday night in College Basketball action.

The Stetson Hatters improved to 7-8 on the season after defeating the North Florida Ospreys, 68-66 in OT, this past Saturday. Stetson was able to fight back from a 63-57 deficit with just 2:23 left in regulation to force OT and was able to pick up the victory after a game-winning three-pointer from Chase Johnston with just :01 second left in OT. Stetson shot 43.3% from the field & 50.0% from beyond the arc while holding North Florida to just 39.7% from the field & 17.9% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Hatters was Rob Perry who had 22 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, & 3 steals.

On the season, Stetson is averaging 69.1 ppg on 44.0% shooting from the field. The Hatters are averaging 8.5 three-pointers per game on 34.0% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Stetson has been led by Rob Perry (15.9 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 2.6 apg), Chase Johnson (12.8 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 1.3 apg, 1.3 spg), Christiaan Jones (11.7 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 1.5 apg, 1.6 spg), & Stephan Swenson (5.0 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 4.9 apg, 1.2 spg).

Defensively, Stetson is allowing their opponents to average 67.4 ppg on 43.9% shooting from the field. The Hatters have a rebound margin of 2.5 and a turnover margin of -0.5.

The Jacksonville Dolphins won their 2nd straight game and improved to 9-4 on the season after defeating the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles, 69-66, this past Saturday. Jacksonville trailed by a 54-48 margin with just 4:40 left in regulation, however, the Dolphins were solid offensively down the stretch and was able to pull off the victory after Kevion Nolan hit a game-winning three-pointer with just :02 seconds left in regulation. Jacksonville shot 39.1% from the field & 40.0% from beyond the arc while allowing Florida Gulf Coast to 42.6% from the field & 31.0% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Dolphins was Kevion Nolan who had 25 points, 1 rebound, 5 assits, & 3 steals.

On the season, Jacksonville is averaging 68.9 ppg on 45.3% shooting from the field. The Dolphins are averaging 7.0 three-pointers per game on 36.1% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Jacksonville has been led by Kevion Nolan (14.6 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 3.1 apg, 2.4 spg), Jordan Davis (10.7 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 2.3 apg, 1.7 spg), Mike Marsh (9.1 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 1.7 apg), & Tommy Bruner (8.8 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.2 spg).

Defensively, Jacksonville is holding their opponents to an average of 55.1 ppg on 38.3% shooting from the field. The Dolphins have a rebound margin of 7.8 and a turnover margin of 1.8.

The Hatters are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a winning home record & 8-1 ATS in their last 9 Tuesday games. The Dolphins are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 home games and 7-2 ATS on the season.

Stetson comes into this game ranked t-253rd in scoring offense & 195th in FG% while defensively, rank 145th in scoring defense & 243rd in defensive FG%. Jacksonville is led by their defense which ranks 2nd in scoring defense & 18th in defensive FG%, however, the offense has struggled a bit putting up points as the Dolphins come into this game ranked just 256th in scoring offense.

Stetson was able to get us an ATS win this past Saturday, however, the Hatters are just not that great of a team and I think is going to struggle to put up points against a solid Jacksonville defense. Jacksonville is 7-0 at home this season and as I think their offense will be able to put up some points against Stetson, I think the Dolphins do enough to cover this mid-range home spread. Good Luck!
