Kansas State vs Radford 12/21/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Radford Highlanders and the Kansas State Wildcats meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Bramlage Coliseum. Radford is 6-6 overall this season. The Highlanders lost to Eastern Kentucky in their last game. As for Kansas State, they’re currently 10-1 and fresh off a win over Nebraska. Radford went 3-3 over their first six games this year, beating Bridgewater, Averett and Army during that time. The next six games were another 3-3 stretch with wins over Elon, NC Central and George Washington along the way. 

Back on Saturday versus Eastern Kentucky, the Highlanders took a 35-31 lead into the break. Radford was outscored 36-30 in the second half and ended up losing 67-65. Bryan Antoine led the team on his 15 points and two rebounds. 

Over on the Kansas State side, they’ve got a lone loss to Butler this year. The wins otherwise have come versus UTRGV, Cal, UMKC, Rhode Island, Nevada, LSU, Wichita State, Abilene Christian, Incarnate Word and Nebraska. 

On Saturday versus Nebraska, Kansas State jumped out to a dominant 39-26 edge by halftime. The Wildcats kept it up in the second with 32 more points in a 71-56 win. Keyontae Johnson managed a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. 

PICK: I’m leaning toward Kansas State in this one. The Wildcats notched another victory over Nebraska in their last game, shooting 40 percent from the field with 40 rebounds and 20 team assists. Kansas State has been scoring well lately with 71 or more points in three straight games. That’s good news after a three-game lull with 64 or fewer points in each. As for Radford, they can score pretty well when the matchup is right. That said, the Highlanders have scored a combined 127 over their last pair and likely won’t have too many opportunities here.
