In this article, we will formulate a Kansas vs Howard Prediction for this college basketball game on Monday, November 4th, at the Allen Fieldhouse.
Can Howard Be Competitive?
The Howard Bison last season finished with an 18-17 record overall and 9-5 during conference play which was good enough to tie for second in the conference. This squad for this season is going to look a little different as they are only bringing back two of the starters. Howard did have an August trip to Brazil as a team, so that should actually help them as they had a little more time together.
The good news for Howard heading into this game is they do have Bryce Harris back, who averaged 16.6 points per game and was second in the conference in scoring. If they are going to be competitive, they are going to need to have Harris to have a big game. Marcus Dockery averaged 13.5 points per game last year, and the rumors are that he got a whole lot stronger this offseason.
Kansas Believes They Can Win It All
The Kansas Jayhawks comes into this game with a ton of talent, and they believe they can win it all. This is a veteran led of team that has a mix of players back from last season, along with some new talent that has come in. It starts inside with Hunter Dickinson, who was dealing with injury issues the last couple of weeks, but he’s expected to be able to go in this game.
He should be a matchup nightmare in this game, but if Kansas wants to go far this season the hope is his defense improved during the offseason. Zeke Mayo is transferred in from South Dakota State, and he should be a big improvement to their three point shooting. Rylan Griffen also came in from Alabama and should get plenty of playing time in this game.
Kansas vs Howard Prediction
This Howard team could be an NCAA Tournament team this year, but they are going to really struggle in this game. This Kansas team is probably the best team in the country, and they are going to have very little issues in this game finding success. They are deep, and they are going to use that depth to their advantage here. Kansas is getting close to 100 points here, and they are going to cover the spread here.
