Kansas Preview

The Kansas Jayhawks are 21-8 (9-7) this season after they lost to Baylor by a score of 82-74 in their last game. Kansas trailed 35-34 at halftime and they allowed 47 second half points in the loss. The Jayhawks shot 55.2% from the field and were -8 in rebounding margin in the game. Kansas lost to BYU by a score of 76-68 in the game prior to Baylor, but did beat Texas and Oklahoma before that. The Jayhawks are scoring 76.6 points per game with 35.8 rebounds per game and 19.4 assists per game, while allowing 68.3 points against per game this season. Kevin McCullar Jr. is averaging 19.1 points per game, 6.4 rebounds per game, and 4.3 assists per game. Kansas is shooting 49.9% from the field, 72% on free throws, and 34.1% on three pointers this year.

Kansas State vs Kansas Betting Prediction

Kansas comes into this matchup trying to snap a two game losing streak, which includes a loss at home to BYU. The Jayhawks have battled a few key injuries this season, but they just haven’t been as dominant in conference play as we are used to. Kansas State is still on the bubble, but they could have really used a win against Cincinnati this past weekend. The Wildcats did beat Kansas by a score of 75-70 in the first meeting, but they are 0-7 in their last seven road games. Kansas State may not win games on the road, but they are 6-3 against the spread away from home and I think they can keep this game close.
