Oklahoma went 7-3 over their first 10 matchups, falling to Sam Houston, Villanova and Arkansas. Since then it’s been a 3-2 run for the Sooners. They’ve beaten Central Arkansas, Florida and Texas Tech in that time.
In the Texas Tech matchup back on Saturday, the Sooners scored 24 points in the first half, 32 more in the second and 12 in overtime to power out a close 68-63 win. Both Jalen Hill and Milos Uzan led the team with 18 points apiece.
Over on the Kansas side, their lone loss came to Tennessee on November 25. Since then it’s been wins over TX Southern, Seton Hall, Missouri, Indiana, Harvard, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and West Virginia.
Matched up against West Virginia on Saturday, the Jayhawks were up 42-35 by halftime. Kansas hit a 34-27 run in the second half and took the win 76-62. Gradey Dick had 16 points and Jalen Wilson doubled up on 14 points with 14 boards.
PICK: I’m going to stay with Kansas. The Jayhawks were quite impressive against a very good West Virginia team in their last outing. Kansas had five different players in double-figure scoring, shooting 42.1 percent from the floor and collecting 43 rebounds. The Jayhawks have scored 68 points or more in each outing during this eight-game win streak. As for Oklahoma, they were able to hang with both Texas and Iowa State recently. The Sooners could cause some issues for Kansas if they get going on defense. Should be a fun game to watch.
