The Oklahoma Sooners and the Kansas Jayhawks meet Saturday in college basketball action from Allen Fieldhouse. Oklahoma is fresh off a matchup versus TCU on Wednesday. The Sooners went on to lose by nine points, dropping to 13-2 overall. As for Kansas, they played UCF in their last matchup. In that game the Jayhawks fell to 13-2 as well with a five-point defeat. Let’s get into our Oklahoma vs. Kansas prediction. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Oklahoma Sooners

The Sooners beat Central Michigan, MS Valley State, Texas State, UTRGV, Iowa, USC, AR-Pine Bluff, Providence, Arkansas and Green Bay in their first 10 games before a loss to North Carolina. Oklahoma would then get back to winning versus Central Arkansas, Monmouth and Iowa State in the next trio.

On Wednesday versus TCU, the Sooners were down 40-34 by halftime. Oklahoma didn’t get any closer than that in a 40-37 second half and lost 80-71. Javian McCollum led the team on his 17 points and six rebounds, and Milos Uzan doubled up with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Kansas Jayhawks

Over on the Jayhawks’ side, they won four straight games over NC Central, Manhattan, Kentucky and Chaminade to start the year before a loss to Marquette. After that came wins over Tennessee, Eastern Illinois, UConn, Kansas City, Missouri, Indiana, Yale, Wichita State and TCU in succession over the next nine.

In their last matchup versus UCF, the Jayhawks went into the second half with a 37-29 edge. Kansas was drilled fro there on a 36-23 deficit for a 65-60 defeat, though. Leading team scorer Kevin McCullar managed 16 points, six rebounds and five assists while Hunter Dickinson bagged 12 points and four rebounds in the losing effort.

ANDREW’S FREE OKLAHOMA VS KANSAS PREDICTION

I’ll lean toward Oklahoma. Some of the luster has worn off of this matchup with both teams coming off losses, but it should be a great game nonetheless. The Sooners shot pretty well from the field (44.8 percent) and had 38 rebounds in their loss to TCU, but the 14 turnovers—which led to 25 Frogs points—didn’t help. Oklahoma has still been scoring well lately with 71 or more points in four straight games and 69 or more points in every outing this year.

As for Kansas, they notched their second-lowest points total of the year on Wednesday in the loss to UCF but they’ve hit 69 or more points in all 13 wins so far this year. The Jayhawks should be comfortable back at Allen Fieldhouse on Saturday and ready to bounce back. That said, I like Oklahoma to follow along for a cover. It’ll be a fun on to watch regardless.
