Lipscomb Bisons
Lipscomb managed a 14-10 record over their first 24 outings of the season. The Bisons finished off the regular season with a 5-2 run, taking wins over Liberty, Central Arkansas, Jacksonville, Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson in that time.
On Tuesday versus Stetson, Lipscomb held a slim 35-33 lead in the locker room. The Bisons hit a 48-37 run in the second half and powered out the win 83-70. Leading scorer Jacob Ognacevic posted 22 points with seven rebounds in the victory.
Kennesaw State Owls
Over on the Kennesaw State side, they went 18-6 in their first 24 games this year. The Owls hit a 5-2 run to finish off the season as well with wins over Jacksonville State (twice), Liberty, North Alabama and Central Arkansas.
In their tournament matchup on Tuesday versus Queens NC, Kennesaw State was down 29-26 going into halftime. The Owls rallied in the second and were able to eke out a 67-66 comeback win. Demond Robinson put up 24 points and six boards to top the team.

I’ll probably take a stab on Lipscomb in this one. The Bisons posted a nice second half in their win over Stetson, and they’ve won four straight. Lipscomb has hit 69 or more points in seven of the last eight games as well, so they should be able to keep pace on the scoreboard. These teams last met up on January 28 at KSU Convocation Center. Kennesaw State took an 85-72 victory in that one after a 38-27 first half. Lipscomb is going to have to get off to a better start in this one, but if they can do that I think the Bisons will keep pace.
