Kennesaw State vs USC Upstate 12/20/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The USC Upstate Spartans and the Kennesaw State Owls meet Tuesday in college basketball action from KSU Convocation Center. USC Upstate is 5-5 overall. The Spartans are coming off a loss to Florida State. As for Kennesaw State, they’re currently 7-4 and fresh off a win over Georgia College. USC Upstate has managed wins over Brevard, Coastal Carolina, CIU, Western Carolina and South Carolina State so far this year. The losses have come to Duke, Clemson, Air Force, South Carolina and Florida State. 

In the Florida State matchup last Tuesday, the Spartans trailed 38-31 by the break. USC Upstate was outscored 42-32 in the second half during an 80-63 defeat. Floyd Rideau led the team on 20 points with five rebounds. 

Over on the Kennesaw State side, they’ve managed to beat LaGrange, Brewton-Parker, SE Louisiana, App State, Mercer, Charleston Southern and Georgia College. The Owls’ losses have come to Florida, Campbell, VCU and San Diego State. 

Matched up against Georgia College over the weekend, Kennesaw State posted a 37-26 run in the first half. The Owls scored another 42 points from there and won it 79-55. Chris Youngblood topped the team with 18 points and nine rebounds. 

PICK: I’m going to stick with Kennesaw State. The Owls are on a nice 4-1 run right now with a lone loss to San Diego State during that stretch. Kennesaw State has hit 76 or more points in two of their last three games and should post a pretty nice total here as well. As for USC Upstate, they’ve been scoring pretty well lately themselves with 79 or more in three of their last four outings. If both teams are on point, this should be a pretty high-scoring outing but I like the Owls better on a cover.
