Kentucky vs Duquesne 11/11/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Duquesne Dukes and the Kentucky Wildcats meet Friday in college basketball action from Rupp Arena. Duquesne is coming off a Tuesday win versus Montana in their opener. Duquesne had a forgettable campaign in 2021-22, going just 6-24 overall. The Dukes posted a 1-16 record in Atlantic 10 Conference play, which put the team in last place. Duquesne lost to Rhode Island in the conference tournament. 

In their first action of the 2022-23 season, the Dukes faced off against Montana. That game went well, with Duquesne posting a 45-19 first-half advantage in a 91-63 blowout win. Dae Dae Grant put up 25 points to lead the team scoring. 

Over on the Kentucky side, they posted a strong 26-8 overall record last year with a 14-4 run in Southeastern Conference games. That effort put the Wildcats in second place in the SEC standings, but the team lost in the First Round of the national tourney. 

Kentucky got right to business in their opener back on Monday versus Howard. The Wildcats put up 49 points in the first half and 46 in the second for a 95-63 victory. Antonio Reeves led the way on 22 points, and Jacob Toppin doubled with 15 points and 11 boards. 

PICK: I’ll take a stab on Duquesne here. The Dukes didn’t have any issues whatsoever with Montana, shooting 64.4 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from 3-point range in the blowout win. Duquesne also notched 36 rebounds and 13 assists in a strong showing. As for Kentucky, they did what they were supposed to do in their opener against Howard, shooting 54.8 percent with 42 rebounds along the way.
