Kentucky vs Florida A&M 12/21/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Florida A&M Rattlers and the Kentucky Wildcats meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Rupp Arena. Florida A&M is 2-7 so far this year. The Rattlers are coming off a loss to Louisville. Florida A&M only has two wins over Albany State and Edward Winters so far this year. Outside of that, the losses have come to Oregon, Portland, Oregon State, Miami-FL, Florida, Georgia and Louisville. 

Back on Saturday versus Louisville, the Rattlers went into halftime down 22-20. Florida A&M didn’t get any closer than that in an eventual 61-55 loss. Jordan Tillmon was tops on the team with 17 points and two rebounds. 

Over on the Kentucky side, their losses have come to Michigan State, Gonzaga and UCLA. The wins otherwise have been versus Howard, Duquesne, SC State, North Florida, Bellarmine, Michigan and Yale. 

Matched up against UCLA on Saturday, Kentucky posted a 35-27 deficit in the first half. The Wildcats were outscored 28-26 from there and lost 63-53. Chris Livingston was the top scorer on the squad with 14 points and four rebounds. 

PICK: I’ll probably stick with Kentucky here. The line is way too thick to mess with, though. The Wildcats didn’t play all that well versus UCLA in their last game, shooting 32.8 percent from the field and just 5-of-13 (38.5 percent) from the line. Kentucky did have a nice run going prior to that however, and they’ve scored 69 or more points in eight of their 10 games so far. As for Florida A&M, they shot 34.4 percent from the field with a 45-31 rebounding deficit versus Louisville in their last game. The Rattlers have scored 62 or fewer points for four straight games and I don’t see them getting anywhere close in this one.
