The Miami Hurricanes and the Kentucky Wildcats meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Rupp Arena. The Hurricanes are undefeated through five games thus far and coming off an eight-point win over Kansas State. As for Kentucky, they’re 5-1 overall and sitting on a three-game win streak. The Wildcats blew out Marshall in their last outing. Here’s a Miami vs Kentucky Prediction.
Miami Hurricanes
The Hurricanes are scoring great so far this year, even though they’ve had a relatively close call or two along the way. Miami managed wins over NJIT, Central Florida, Florida International and Georgia in their first four outings. In the win over the Bulldogs, Miami posted a 37-34 rebounding edge and hit a nice 18-of-19 (94.7 percent) from the line.
Miami was able to keep things rolling in their fifth game of the year on November 19 versus Kansas State. The Hurricanes jumped out to a 47-28 halftime advantage and eventually took it 91-83. Nijel Pack led the team on 28 points with two rebounds, and Norchad Omier added 23 points with seven boards.

Kentucky Wildcats
Over on the Wildcats’ side, they’ve just got one blemish on the schedule so far: an 89-84 loss to Kansas on November 14. Outside of that, Kentucky beat New Mexico State, Texas A&M-Commerce, Stonehill and Saint Joseph’s in their first five outings. The Wildcats shot an excellent 51.6 percent from the field with 44 rebounds in their OT win over the Hawks.
Kentucky made it three wins in a row back on Friday versus Marshall. The Wildcats were up 69-41 at the break and ended up with a 118-82 blowout victory. Dajuan Wagner paced Kentucky on his 28 points and five assists. Antonio Reeves added 23 points and four rebounds in the winning effort as well.
ANDREW’S FREE KENTUCKY VS MIAMI PREDICTION
I’m going to take a stab on Kentucky. This should be a pretty fun matchup regardless however, and one of the highlights of the Tuesday college basketball slate. The Wildcats are coming off a big win over Marshall, hitting 60.8 percent from the field with 37 rebounds and a whopping 27 team assists. It was a much-needed dominant effort after a shaky overtime performance versus Saint Joseph’s. Still, Kentucky has scored 81 or more points in every game so far this year and should post a reasonable total on Tuesday if they’re playing well.
As for Miami, they posted 53.3 percent shooting with a 35-29 rebounding deficit versus Kansas State in a matchup that featured less garbage time than one might think. The Hurricanes have a couple of single-digit wins in the books already, so Kentucky should be able to get out in front on a cover pace if all goes according to plan. It’ll be a good one to watch.
