Bucknell Snags First Win

The Bucknell Bisons come into this one looking to build on their first win of the season after a 73-64 win over Niagara last time out. Jack Forrest leads the Bisons in scoring with 13.3 PPG along with 5.7 RPG while Noah Williamson has posted 12 PPG with a team-high 7 RPG to lead Bucknell on the glass. Elvin Edmonds IV has 11.7 PPG with 2.7 RPG and 2 SPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Bucknell so far this season. Josh Bascoe’s added 8.3 PPG and a team-high 4.3 APG as well on the year. As a team, Bucknell is averaging 63.7 PPG on 42.9% shooting from the field, 31.3% from three-point range and 63.8% from the foul line this season.

La Salle Improves To 2-0

The La Salle Explorers come into this one looking to build on their 2-0 start after a 79-74 win over Northeastern last time out. Jhamir Brickus leads the Explorers in scoring with 20 PPG along with 4 RPG and 4 APG while Anwar Gill has 15 PPG with 3.5 RPG and a team-high 5.5 APG to lead the Explorers in the assist department. Khalil Brantley’s added 13.5 PPG with 3 APG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for La Salle so far this year while Rokas Jocius has 9 PPG with a team-high 6.5 RPG to lead La Salle on the glass this season. As a team, La Salle is averaging 73 PPG on 46.2% shooting from the field, 38.5% from three and 76.7% from the foul line this season.

I’m rolling with La Salle here. I’ve liked what I’ve seen from La Salle up to this point, and the Explorers are off to quite the start. I don’t know how sustainable it’ll be if they continue to run with a short bench, but I think there’s enough here for La Salle to bang out another win and cover as I’m just not sold on Bucknell right now.
