Rhode Island Rams
Rhode Island stood at 8-15 after their first 23 games this year. The Rams closed out the season on a rough 1-6 stretch, falling to George Mason, VCU, George Washington, UMass, Fordham and Davidson alongside a lone win over Loyola IL.
Back on Saturday versus Davidson, Rhode Island took a 20-18 deficit into the second half. The Rams were outscored 48-36 from there and lost 68-54. Tops in scoring was Ishmael Leggett on 14 points, three rebounds and three assists.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK
I’ll stick with La Salle here. Granted, there’s not a lot to like about this one as both teams are struggling right now—it’ll be a competitive game, though. The Explorers have at least been scoring pretty well with 66 or more points in 10 of their last 11 outings, but they’re still sitting on a five-game losing streak. These teams have met twice this season, with the home team taking the victory each time. First was a 77-75 La Salle win back on January 7, then a 72-70 Rhode Island win in the January 28 game. This one’s sure to be a tight matchup as well. I like La Salle a little better but you could easily make a case either way.
