The American Eagles and the Lehigh Mountain Hawks meet in college basketball action from the Stabler Arena on Wednesday night.

The American Eagles will look to rebound from a 63-49 loss to Colgate last time out. Stacy Beckton Jr. leads the Eagles in scoring with 12.9 PPG and 4.3 RPG and Colin Smalls has 10.6 PPG as the only other double-digit scorer for American this season. Matt Rogers is also chipping in 9.7 PPG and a team-high 4.8 RPG for American on the year. As a team, American is averaging 63.3 PPG on 44.6% shooting from the field, 32.8% from three and 67.6% from the foul line while allowing 71.5 PPG on 48% shooting from the field and 34.8% from three this season.

The Lehigh Mountain Hawks will try to bounce back after a 69-42 loss to Loyola-Maryland in their last game. Evan Taylor leads the Mountain Hawks in scoring and rebounding with 13 PPG along with 5.6 RPG while Jeameril Watson has 10.9 PPG with 5 RPG to make up the duo of double-digit scorers for Lehigh so far this season. Nic Lynch has 9.1 PPG as well this season. As a team, Lehigh is averaging 67.2 PPG on 44.3% shooting from the field, 38% from three and 72.6% from the foul line while allowing 71.7 PPG on 44.3% shooting from the field and 35.9% from three this season.

American is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following an ATS win while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400. Lehigh is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Wednesday games and 8-19 ATS in their last 27 home games while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400.

I am having a hard time with the side in this one, mainly because both teams are so inconsistent offensively, which is why I’m backing the under here. More often than not in conference play, getting around 60-65 points has been a struggle for both sides and I could see this being a first to 65 wins kind of game if we even get to that point. Give me the under.
