The Stetson Hatters will look to build on their 113-95 win over Eastern Kentucky last time out. Rob Perry leads Stetson in scoring with 15.9 PPG in 14 games while Chase Johnston has 13 PPG and Christiaan Jones has 12.7 PPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Stetson so far this season. Mahamadou Diawara has a team-high 5.9 RPG and Stephan Swenson has a team-high 5 APG as well this season. As a team, Stetson is averaging 69.2 PPG on 44.2% shooting from the field, 34.6% from three and 67.4% from the foul line while allowing 70 PPG on 45.4% shooting from the field and 35.7% from three this season.
The Lipscomb Bison will try to add to their 77-74 road win over North Florida last time out. Ahsan Asadullah has 15.5 PPG and 8.6 RPG in 15 games for Lipscomb so far this season while Jacob Ognacevic has 14.6 PPG with 5 RPG in 16 games to make up the scoring in double figures for Lipscomb so far this season. Greg Jones has 9.7 PPG while Parker Hazen has 8.3 PPG with 5.7 RPG and KJ Johnson has 7.9 PPG with a team-high 3.7 APG on the year. Will Pruitt has 9.1 PPG with 5.3 RPG and 2.8 APG as well for Lipscomb this year. I get the case that could be made for Stetson after such a dominant performance over Eastern Kentucky last time out, but the reality is that the Hatters have been so inconsistent in terms of their scoring outputs and it’s just hard to trust because you never know which team is going to show up. Lipscomb’s had their ups and downs but they’re healthy once again and while the wins and losses haven’t been consistent, the outputs on the scoreboard have been and that’s all I need here. Give me Lipscomb at home in this one.
