Western Kentucky Hilltoppers
Western Kentucky managed wins over Eastern Kentucky, Kentucky State, Ulndy, Illinois State, Tulane, SC State, Austin Peay and Wright State over their first 14 games. The Hilltoppers are 3-1 in their last four with a lone loss to Florida Atlantic in that time.
In the Monday game versus Florida Atlantic, Western Kentucky was within one point going into the second half. The Hilltoppers were outscored 42-29 from there and lost 76-62. Dayvion McKnight led the team on 15 points and nine boards.
Louisiana Tech Bulldogs
Over on the Louisiana Tech side, they were 8-6 through 14 games with losses to Texas Tech, Louisiana, Wyoming, Stephen F. Austin, UTEP and Charlotte. The Bulldogs are 2-2 since with losses to North Texas and UAB.
In the UAB game on Saturday, the Bulldogs were up 35-34 going into the second half. Louisiana Tech fell behind on a 47-39 run from there and lost 81-74. Come Williams put up 27 points, and Keaston Willis had 23 points.

I’ll probably stick with Western Kentucky in this one. The Hilltoppers had a sketchy second half against a very good Florida Atlantic team in their last outing, but otherwise they’ve been doing well lately. Western Kentucky has hit 70 or more points in three of their last four games, which is a good sign after a bit of a lull in December. As for LA Tech, they’ve been at 66 points or fewer in three of their last five games so it’s tough to know what we’ll get total-wise here. I like this one to be competitive, with WKU ultimately powering out a cover.
