The Maryland Terrapins and the Louisville Cardinals meet Tuesday in college basketball action from KFC Yum! Center. Maryland comes into this one at 6-0 overall. The Terrapins beat Coppin State in their last game. As for Louisville, they’re 0-6 and coming off a loss to Cincinnati. Maryland has been on quite a tear since the season opened. The Terrapins stormed through their first five games with wins over Niagara, Western Carolina, Binghamton, Saint Louis and Miami-FL.

In game six back on Friday versus Coppin State, the Terrapins kept their run going. Maryland was up by 11 points going into the second half and ended up with a 95-79 win. Julian Reese doubled up with 24 points and 10 rebounds.

Over on the Louisville side, they haven’t had any luck this year at all. The Cardinals stumbled out of the gate with losses to Bellarmine, Wright State, App State, Arkansas and Texas Tech in their first five games.

Louisville faced another loss in game six versus Cincinnati. The Cardinals kept pace in the first half but were outscored 50-32 from there in an 81-62 defeat. Louisville’s Brandon Huntley-Hatfield led the team 15 points with three rebounds.

PICK: I’m going to stay with Maryland. The Terrapins haven’t really been challenged yet through six games; their closest win was by 16 points. Maryland has been great offensively with 71 or more points in every game and 88 or more in each of the last three.

As for Louisville, they’re winless but they’ve come close a few times. Three of the six losses were by just one point each. That said, I don’t think the Cardinals will be able to hang with Maryland for long.
