Pittsburgh Panthers 

Pittsburgh managed a 10-4 run through their first 14 games this year, losing to West Virginia, Michigan, VCU and Vanderbilt. The Panthers are 2-2 in their last four outings with losses to Clemson and Duke in that time. 

Back on Saturday matched up against Georgia Tech, the Panthers were up 38-34 going into the second half. Pittsburgh kept up the pressure with a 33-26 run from there and won 71-60. Nike Sibande was tops on 21 points and six rebounds. 

Louisville Cardinals 

Over on the Louisville side, they were just 2-12 after 14 games with wins over only Western Kentucky and Florida A&M. The Cardinals are 0-4 since then with losses to Syracuse, Wake Forest, Clemson and North Carolina. 

In the Saturday game versus the Tar Heels, the Cardinals were down 37-26 at the break. Louisville fell further behind on a 43-33 run from there and lost 80-59. El Ellis was tops in scoring on 22 points and four assists.

I’ll probably stay with Pittsburgh. The Panthers posted a pretty decent all-around effort against Georgia Tech in their last game on Saturday, which was a nice bounce-back after consecutive losses to Clemson and Duke. Pittsburgh has scored 68 or more points in 14 straight games, so they’ll likely put up a sizable total in this one as well. As for Louisville, there aren’t too many bright spots to pick out this season. The Cardinals have hit 69 or more points in three of their last four games though, so they may be able to hang around in this one.
