The Texas A&M Aggies and the Loyola Ramblers meet Sunday in college basketball action from HTC Center. Texas A&M is 2-2 on the year. The Aggies lost to Colorado in their last game on Friday. As for Loyola, they’re 2-2 as well following a loss to Boise State. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Texas A&M began their year with an 87-54 victory over LA-Monroe and a 77-58 win versus Abilene Christian. The Aggies have since recorded losses in their last two games 88-79 versus Murray State and 103-75 against Colorado.

In the Colorado game back on Friday, the Aggies were drilled 54-33 in the first half. Texas A&M was outpaced again in the second 49-42. Hayden Heftner led the team with 13 points, and both Solomon Washington and Julius Marble added 12 points apiece.

Over on the Loyola side, they took out Fairleigh Dickinson 88-82 in their opener this year. Game two was a victory as well, 70-63. The Ramblers took their first loss in game three versus Tulsa, limping to an 85-66 outcome.

Loyola had a rough go of things once again in Friday’s matchup versus Boise State. The Ramblers were outscored 31-26 in the first half and 39-22 in the second in a 70-48 result. Philip Alston led the team on 11 points and eight rebounds.

PICK: I’m going to lean Texas A&M but staying away. Neither one of these teams has looked great over their last two outings. The Aggies allowed Colorado to shoot 57.6 percent from the field and 50 percent (16-of-32) from 3-point range in their last outing. Texas A&M also lost the rebounding battle 35-28 and had 13 assists to the Buffaloes’ 22 in the defeat. Still, the Aggies should be able to handle a struggling Loyola team and get some of that momentum back.
