LSU vs Wofford 11/27/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Wofford Terriers and the LSU Tigers meet Sunday in college basketball action from Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Wofford enters this matchup at 4-2 overall. The Terriers beat North Greenville in their last outing. As for LSU, they’re 5-1 so far following a loss to Kansas State on Wednesday. Wofford went 2-2 over their first four games, taking out Bob Jones University and Gardner-Webb while falling otherwise to High Point and Drake. Game five was another win for Wofford, this time 78-64 versus NC A&T. 

In Wednesday’s matchup versus North Greenville, the Terriers didn’t have too many issues. Wofford got off to a 32-27 start by the half and cruised to a 70-59 win. Jackson Paveletzke led the team on 18 points with six assists. 

Over on the LSU side, they got off to a hot start at 5-0. The Tigers opened up with a win 74-63 over UMKC and a 61-52 victory over Arkansas State. The next trio were all victories against New Orleans, Illinois State and Akron. 

On Wednesday versus Kansas State, LSU took their first loss of the year. The Tigers had a 41-33 lead by halftime, but were outscored 28-18 the rest of the way in a 61-59 loss. KJ Williams led the team on a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. 

PICK: I’ll probably take LSU in this one. The Tigers had a rough second half against a good Kansas State team in their last outing. LSU ended up shooting 43.4 percent from the field with 30 rebounds and 10 assists in a pretty evenly-matched game overall. The Tigers have generally scored well this year with 73 or more points in four of six games. As for Wofford, they’ve hit 70 or more points in five of their six games. I like the Terriers to keep up for a while here before LSU powers out a cover.
