The Fairleigh Dickinson Knights and the Manhattan Jaspers meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Draddy Gymnasium. The Knights are 0-5 so far this year and fresh off a loss to Princeton. As for Manhattan, they’re 4-1 and took out Liberty in their last outing. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Fairleigh Dickinson hasn’t had any luck in the win column so far this year, and they haven’t really been close in any games yet. The Knights have fallen to Seton Hall, Northwestern, St. John’s, NJIT and Princeton in their first quintet.

In the Princeton game, Fairleigh Dickinson kept the pace in the first half well but fell behind 51-43 in the second during an 89-79 loss. Knights top scorer Brandon Rush finished on 27 points with two rebounds and two steals.

Over on the Manhattan side, they opened up the year with wins over Manhattanville and Fordham before a 79-58 loss to Old Dominion. The Jaspers bounced back with wins over North Alabama and Liberty in their next pair.

In the matchup versus Liberty, Manhattan held the opposition to just 17 first-half points during a nice 76-60 win. Topping the team in scoring was Elijah Buchanan with 21 points, three rebounds and three assists to his credit.

Manhattan is 3-1-1 ATS in their last five home games and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six after an ATS win. The Jaspers are 2-6 ATS in their last eight Tuesday games.

Meanwhile, the Knights are 2-5 ATS in their last seven Tuesday games and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 overall. The under is 5-2 in FDU’s last seven road games.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Manhattan. The Jaspers did a solid job against Liberty in their last game, shooting 56.6 percent from the floor with 26 rebounds and 14 team assists. Manhattan shot 50 percent from 3-point range and was a nice 10-of-10 from the line.

As for FDU, they shot well against Princeton (45.9 percent) but were out-rebounded 37-26 in the loss. As long as the scoring doesn’t get too crazy here I think the Knights can hang around, but it’s probably a Manhattan cover.
