The St. Bonaventure Bonnies and the Marquette Golden Eagles meet Sunday in college basketball action from TD Arena. St. Bonaventure is sitting at 4-0 so far on the year. The Bonnies beat Clemson by three in their last game. As for Marquette, they’re 5-0 this year and coming off a win over West Virginia. St. Bonaventure didn’t have any trouble in their opener versus Siena, surging to a 75-47 win. The Bonnies kept it going against Canisius in game two with a 69-60 win, then took out Boise State 67-61 in game three.

On Friday against Clemson, the Bonnies were down 36-26 at halftime but scored 42 points from there for a 68-65 win. Kyle Lofton led the team with 22 points, four rebounds and four assists in 40 minutes on the floor.

Over on the Marquette side, they handled SIUE 88-77 in their opener and New Hampshire 75-70 in game two. Then came a great 67-66 win over 10th-ranked Illinois, and another victory 78-72 over Ole Miss in game four.

In the Friday matchup with West Virginia, Marquette was in trouble with a 47-35 deficit at halftime. The Eagles rolled 47-24 from there and pulled off a nice 82-71 comeback win. Tyler Kolek topped the team with 18 points, eight assists and six boards.

The Eagles are 5-2 ATS in their last seven after an ATS win and 2-5 ATS in their last seven Sunday games. The over is 4-1 in Marquette’s last five overall as well.

Meanwhile, the Bonnies are 4-1 ATS in the last five Sunday games and 15-6-1 ATS in their last 22 overall. The under is 19-7 in St. Bonaventure’s last 26 overall.

PICK: I’m going to try Marquette. Both of these teams played with fire in their last games with pretty major halftime deficits, but to their credit both pulled off the wins. Marquette shot 52.6 percent from the field in their win, with 20 assists and a 37-32 rebounding advantage. As for the Bonnies, they shot 42.6 percent from the floor and out-rebounded Clemson 33-32. I like this one to be a very competitive matchup and a fun one to watch. I think the Eagles can eke out a cover if they play to their capabilities, though.
