The next six games were a 1-5 run though, as Maryland fell versus Gonzaga, Alabama, Iowa, Michigan and Virginia (with a lone win over Wagner). I’ll lean toward Maryland but I’m probably staying away. The Terrapins could use a good win though, and this is a reasonable spot to get it. The Terrapins couldn’t keep pace with a good Cavaliers team in their last outing, shooting 40.7 percent from the field with 16 turnovers and an ugly 44-12 deficit on points in the paint. Maryland did well on the boards (a 37-30 advantage) however, and hit 12-of-29 (41.4 percent) from outside. That makes 72 or more points in four of the last five games, but Maryland has lost four of those against some tough competition.

As for ODU, they shot 46.4 percent from the field with a 38-28 rebounding deficit and 12 turnovers in their latest loss to Coastal Carolina in Norfolk. The Monarchs have scored well lately themselves with 71 or more points in seven of the last eight games. Old Dominion has lost six of those eight, however.
