Tyrese Hunter added 16 points with seven assists and three steals, while both Moussa Cisse and PJ Carter chipped in six points apiece off the bench.

I’ll lean toward Memphis. The Tigers have been off the court for a week though, so they’ll need a good start to get things moving. That said, Memphis played well in their last outing versus USF, with 52.5 percent shooting and a 43-30 rebounding edge. There’s still plenty of stuff to clean up though, including the 12-of-20 (60 percent) from the line and the 14 turnovers for 20 Bulls points. That said, Memphis is scoring very well this year, and they’ve hit 75 or more points in each installment of this current five-game win streak.

These teams have met twice this year, with the home team taking the win each time. Memphis got it 61-53 on January 23 and Wichita State returned the favor 84-79 in OT on February 16. In that latest matchup, the Tigers shot a miserable 36 percent from the field with a 54-45 rebounding deficit and 10 turnovers for 11 Shockers points. Memphis managed to hold the Shockers to just 40 percent shooting on the other side and came up with 22 team assists, but it wasn’t enough to power out the win following a 13-8 disadvantage in the extra period.
