Merrimack vs Brown 12/7/21 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Brown Bears and the Merrimack Warriors meet in college basketball action from Hammel Court on Tuesday night.

The Brown Bears will look to build off of a 79-66 win over Sacred Heart in their last matchup. Kino Lilly Jr. leads the Bears in scoring with 12.1 PPG as well as 2.4 APG while Dan Friday has 10.6 PPG and a team-high 2.7 APG as well this season. Paxson Wojcik has 10.1 PPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Brown up to this point in the season while Tamenang Choh has 9.8 PPG and a team-high 7.6 RPG up to this point in the season. The Merrimack Warriors will be looking to rebound from back-to-back losses after a 61-57 loss at the hands of UMass last time out. Jordan Minor leads the Warriors in scoring and rebounding with 13.9 PPG and 6.7 RPG while Mikey Watkins has 10 PPG with 4 RPG and a team-high 3.1 APG as well this season as the lone pair of double-digit scorers for Merrimack up to this point in the season. Mykel Derring also has 9 PPG for the Warriors so far this year. As a team, Merrimack is averaging 57.1 PPG on 39.7% shooting from the field, 31.7% from three-point range and 69.6% from the foul line while allowing 58.1 PPG on 40.4% shooting from the field and 34.2% from three this season.

Normally I’m not looking to lay points with teams on the road in coin flips like this, but Merrimack’s just had scoring issues all season long. Brown has been battle tested against teams like Colorado, Creighton and Bradley and I think sooner rather down the line you have to think that those games will serve Brown well and I think this could end up being the perfect spot to see that come to fruition. Give me the Bears on the road in this one.
