The Boston College Eagles and the Miami Hurricanes meet Wednesday in college basketball action from BankUnited Center. Boston College is 15-14 overall following a loss to Pittsburgh. As for Miami, they fell to North Carolina last week and dropped to 15-14 as well. Let’s get into our Boston College vs. Miami prediction. Boston College Eagles

The Eagles hit an 11-8 record over their first 19 outings this year. Boston College would then go 4-2 over the next six with wins over Notre Dame, Syracuse, Louisville and Miami. Since then it’s been four straight losses to Florida State, NC State, Virginia and Pittsburgh.

In the Pittsburgh game on Saturday, Boston College didn’t stand much of a chance. The Eagles were down 47-32 going into the second half, then hit a 43-33 deficit the rest of the way in a 90-65 defeat. Quinten Post put up 30 points with 12 rebounds in the losing effort.

Miami Hurricanes

Over on the Hurricanes’ side, their year began on a 12-6 run. In late January the Hurricanes won three of four but it’s been a seven-game losing streak since then. The losses have come to Virginia, North Carolina (twice), Clemson, Boston College, Duke and Georgia Tech.

In the North Carolina rematch last Monday, the Hurricanes were down by five points in the locker room. Miami got slightly better from there on a 39-38 second half and took the loss 75-71. Tops in scoring was Norchad Omier with 22 points, while Bensley Joseph added 21 points with six boards.

ANDREW’S FREE BOSTON COLLEGE VS MIAMI PREDICTION

I’ll stick with Miami. The Hurricanes didn’t play too badly versus a tough North Carolina team in their last outing, despite hitting just 39.3 percent from the field and coughing up 14 turnovers. Miami has been competitive in their last two games actually, losing both by a combined eight points.

The Hurricanes had a good offensive outing the last time these teams met up back on February 17 in an 85-77 road loss. Miami hit 52.9 percent from the field in that one, but also got outmuscled on the boards 37-27 and had 14 turnovers. With a little extra time to prepare, Miami should be ready in this home rematch. I like the Hurricanes to power out a cover but it should be a pretty competitive matchup overall.

Andrew's Free Pick: Miami Hurricanes -4.5
