The Canisius Golden Griffins and Miami Hurricanes meet Tuesday in college basketball action at the Watsco Center. The Canisius Golden Griffins won seven games last year and enter the sixth year under coach Reggie Witherspoon. The Miami Hurricanes won 10 games last season, and coach Jim Larranaga enters his 11th season.
The Canisius Golden Griffins return their top player from last season and four of their top-five scorers. The Canisius Golden Griffins are absolutely loaded with experience and played rather well last year despite a short season. This will be a good early measuring stick game for the Golden Griffins. Harlond Beverly averaged 28.7 minutes per game last season and Anthony Walker averaged 4.7 rebounds.
