Michigan vs Ohio 11/20/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Ohio Bobcats and the Michigan Wolverines meet Sunday in college basketball action from Crisler Center. Ohio is 1-2 so far this year and coming off a loss to Detroit. As for Michigan, they’re currently 3-1 on the season. The Wolverines lost to Arizona State in their most recent appearance. Ohio had a very tight game versus Belmont in their opener. The Bobcats ended up losing that one 70-69 despite 35 second-half points. Ohio got their first win of the year in game two versus Cleveland State, powering out an 81-70 result. 

In Wednesday’s matchup versus Detroit, the Bobcats faced a 47-34 deficit at the break. Ohio scored 40 more points in the second half but it wasn’t enough in an 88-74 loss. Devon Baker led the way on 16 points, and Dwight Wilson added 13 rebounds. 

Over on the Michigan side, everything went pretty smoothly in their first three games. The Wolverines managed a 75-56 win over their opener and an 88-83 win over Eastern Michigan in game two. Michigan took game three 91-60 over Pittsburgh. 

In Thursday’s matchup versus Arizona State, the Wolverines ran into a lot of trouble. Michigan was down 46-28 by halftime and was outscored 41-34 from there in an 87-62 defeat. Hunter Dickinson led the team with 14 points and five rebounds. 

PICK: I’m going to try Michigan here. The Wolverines certainly need a bounce-back game after the rough Arizona State outing, and this is a good situation to get it. Michigan shot just 33.9 percent from the field and 18.2 percent from 3-point range in the defeat, giving up 60.4 percent shooting and 57.9 (11-of-19) in threes on the other side. On paper at least, Ohio shouldn’t be able to hang around for long in this one if Michigan gets going.
