The Seton Hall Pirates and the Michigan Wolverines meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Crisler Center. Seton Hall is 2-0 so far this year following wins versus Fairleigh Dickinson and Yale. As for Michigan, they’re 2-0 as well, taking out Buffalo and Prairie View in their first pair. Seton Hall didn’t run into many problems in their opener versus Fairleigh Dickinson. The Pirates jumped out to a 40-20 halftime edge and cruised to a 93-49 win. Leading scorer Tyrese Samuel doubled up with 19 points and 11 rebounds in the victory.

In game two against Yale, Seton Hall kept their strong run going. The Pirates outscored the Bulldogs 45-22 in the first half, then added 35 more second-half points for an 80-44 win. Alexis Yetna topped the team on 15 points and three boards in 23 minutes.

Over on the Michigan side, they took a 51-36 advantage over Buffalo into halftime during their opener. The Wolverines were outscored by three from there, but still ended up with an 88-76 win. Hunter Dickinson led the way on 27 points and six boards.

The Wolverines took on Prairie View in game two and kept rolling right along. Michigan dropped 42 first-half points and ultimately emerged victorious 77-49. Eli Brooks was the high man on the team with 15 points, three rebounds and two assists.

Michigan is 16-7 ATS in their last 23 after a straight-up win and 19-9 ATS in their last 28 overall. The Wolverines are 1-4 ATS in their last five after an ATS win.

Meanwhile, the Pirates are 1-4 ATS in their last five after a straight-up win and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 overall. Seton Hall is 1-4 ATS in their last five as an underdog.

PICK: I’m going to take a stab on Seton Hall here. The Pirates have looked good through their first two games, playing well overall. Seton Hall shot 46.9 percent against Yale in their last outing, with 53 rebounds and 12 steals to their credit.

As for Michigan, they destroyed Prairie View in their last game, shooting 45.5 percent from the field and gathering 52 rebounds. Seton Hall will be the toughest team the Wolverines have faced so far during this young season, and I think the Pirates can get in there on a cover.
