Wisconsin Badgers

The Badgers only lost four of their first 17 games this year. Those defeats came courtesy of Tennessee, Providence, Arizona and Penn State. Wisconsin would then beat Indiana, Minnesota and Michigan State in succession before more losses to Nebraska and Purdue.

Matched up against Purdue on Sunday, the Badgers were within two points at halftime. Wisconsin fell further behind in a 41-37 second half however, and lost 75-69. Tyler Wahl led the team in scoring with 20 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals in 36 minutes.

Michigan Wolverines

Over on the Michigan side, it’s been a tough season to say the least. The Wolverines have won just one game since December 16 (over Ohio State), otherwise falling to Florida, McNeese, Minnesota, Penn State, Maryland, Illinois Purdue, Iowa, Michigan State and Rutgers in that stretch.

In their latest loss back on Saturday versus Rutgers, the Wolverines went into the break with a 39-30 edge. Michigan fell behind on a 39-20 run the rest of the way though, and ended up with a 69-59 loss. Olivier Nkamhoua led the team on his 14 points, six rebounds and two assists in the losing effort.

ANDREW’S FREE WISCONSIN VS MICHIGAN PREDICTION

I’ll stay with Wisconsin I suppose. The Badgers have a couple of losses in their last two games, and this would be a good time for a bounce-back effort. In their latest defeat by Purdue, Wisconsin shot a dismal 3-of-19 (15.8 percent) from 3-point range and got out-rebounded 42-29. The good news is that the Badgers should match up much better in this one.

As for Michigan, there aren’t a lot of positives to point to this season so far; it’s been a struggle. The Wolverines haven’t gotten past 67 points in three of the last four games and they’re giving up quite a bit on defense as well. Wisconsin should have ample opportunities to score here.
