The Southern Illinois Salukis and the Missouri State Bears meet Wednesday in college basketball action from JQH Arena. Southern Illinois is currently 9-5 this year. The Salukis beat Valparaiso in their last game. As for Missouri State, they’re 11-6 so far and coming off a loss to Northern Iowa. Southern Illinois lost three of their first five games this year, then hit a win streak over Alcorn State, Evansville and Southern Miss. Since then it’s been a 4-2 run with wins over SEMO, Maryville MO, Grambling State and Valparaiso.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Missouri State. The Bears took a tough loss to Northern Iowa in their last game, but the good news is that they’ve been scoring well lately. Missouri State has hit 71 or more points in three of their last four and shouldn’t have much trouble putting up points in this matchup. The Salukis will likely keep up for most of the game but I like the Bears better on the potential cover.
