The Washington State Cougars and the Nevada Wolf Pack meet Monday in college basketball action from Lawlor Events Center. Here’s a Nevada vs Washington State prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Nevada vs Washington State pick.
Washington State Cougars Betting Preview
Washington State got off to a nice start this year with wins over Portland State, Bradley, and Idaho. The Cougars would lose to Iowa before three more wins versus Northern Colorado, Eastern Washington, and Fresno State.
On Wednesday in their last outing, the Cougars held a 31-27 edge by halftime. Washington State was outscored 50-29 the rest of the way however, leading to a 77-60 defeat. Nate Calmese was tops on 15 points with six assists.
Nevada Wolf Pack Betting Preview
Over on the Nevada side, they beat Sam Houston, Washington, Weber State, and Santa Clara in their first quartet. The Wolf Pack would then lose to Vanderbilt before wins over VCU and Oklahoma State in the next trio.
Nevada held a 40-33 edge in the first half of their matchup versus Oklahoma State last Sunday. The Wolf Pack hit a 50-45 run from there in a 90-78 defeat. Kobe Sanders led the team with 27 points, and Nick Davidson added 23 points in 31 minutes of work.

Nevada vs Washington State Prediction
I’ll lean toward Nevada. The Wolf Pack did a nice job last Sunday against a middling Oklahoma State team, hitting a stellar 58.9 percent from the field and 38.9 percent (7-of-18) from outside with 32 rebounds. Two of Nevada’s last three games have been decided by three points or fewer, however.
As for Washington State, they hit just 36.8 percent from the field in their loss to SMU. The Cougars had been scoring great over their previous three outings with 83 or more points in each. In fact, Washington State has 83 or more points in every win this year—and 66 or fewer in the two losses. I like this one to be somewhere in between, with Nevada eventually powering out a cover in a fun matchup.
