The Southeast Louisiana Lions and the New Orleans Privateers meet in college basketball action from the Lakefront Arena on Thursday night.

The Southeast Louisiana Lions will look to build on their five-game winning streak after a 79-74 win over Northwestern State last time out. The New Orleans Privateers will try to build on their four-game winning streak after a 78-66 win over Nicholls State last time out. Derek St. Hilaire leads the Privateers in scoring with 19.2 PPG along with 3.3 RPG and 2.4 APG while Troy Green has 14.3 PPG with a team-high 3.2 APG and 5 RPG to make up the duo of double-digit scorers for New Orleans so far this season. Simeon Kirkland has 8.4 PPG while Robby Robinson has a team-high 6.1 RPG as well this season. As a team, New Orleans is averaging 75.6 PPG on 46.6% shooting from the field, 32.6% from three and 70.8% from the foul line while allowing 72.5 PPG on 42.5% shooting from the field and 29.2% from three this season.

Southeast Louisiana is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 Thursday games and 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games following a win while the over is 26-9-1 in their last 36 games following an ATS loss. I’m surprised this line is as low as it is if I’m being honest. New Orleans isn’t well-known unless you do some digging or are fans of the Southland, but the reality is that the Privateers have been a money machine at home dating back to last year and while Southeast Louisiana has some solid numbers this season, the Privateers have been dominant defensively during conference play as well. I think the low line is a gift so give me the Privateers laying the bucket.
