Presbyterian managed a 7-5 run over their first 12 games, taking losses to Clemson, Cincinnati, Tennessee, Morehead State and Charleston. After losses to Wofford and Furman, the Hose took out Truett-McConnell in their last game.
In the matchup versus Truett-McConnel on December 30, the Hose jumped out to a 49-26 halftime lead. Presbyterian would cruise to the 91-49 win from there. Winston Hill led the team on 14 points and five rebounds.
Over on the North Carolina A&T side, they won just four of their first 12 games versus Greensboro, St. Francis BK, Carver and East Tennessee State. Another loss to Howard came next, then a win over Mid-Atlantic Christian.
Matched up against MACU back on December 21, the Aggies posted 39 points in the first half and 49 more from there in an 88-63 win. Milton Matthews led the way on 19 points, and Jaylen Jackson doubled up on 17 points and 12 boards.
The Aggies are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five at home and the under is 5-1 in their last six at home. The over is 4-0 in NC A&T’s last four Wednesday games.
Meanwhile, the Hose are 4-0 ATS in their last four as a road favorite and the over is 4-1 in the last five road games. The under is 16-6-1 in Presbyterian’s last 23 as an underdog.
PICK: I’m likely going to try Presbyterian, but there’s not a ton to like here. The Hose have been all over the place scoring-wise this season, depending on the matchup. For example Presbyterian has two games with 91 or more points in their last four, along with two games with 61 or fewer points. This one’s probably going to land on the higher side of those values. If the Hose can manage to surpass 70 points or so here I think they’ll be fine on the cover.
