The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles and the North Dakota Fighting Hawks meet Saturday in college basketball action from the Betty. Oral Roberts is coming off a Thursday game versus North Dakota State. In that one the Eagles lost by 18 points. As for North Dakota, they played UMKC in their Thursday game. The Hawks ended up falling by 15 points. Oral Roberts started out the year at a choppy 5-5 but to the team’s credit they haven’t lost consecutive games yet so far. After a loss to Western Illinois to start out the month, the Eagles then picked up wins over St. Thomas MN and Kansas City.
On Thursday in the North Dakota State matchup, the Golden Eagles were within five points at halftime but didn’t get closer in a 77-59 defeat. Tops in scoring was Issac McBride on 23 points, and Max Abmas added 21 points with four boards.
Over on the North Dakota side, they’ve had it rough all year. The Hawks were only able to win four of their first 24 games. North Dakota logged wins over Omaha and St. Thomas MN, then went right back into the L column versus Western Illinois.
Matched up against Kansas City on Thursday, North Dakota was outscored 26-45 in the first half and couldn’t come back in an eventual 80-65 loss. Paul Bruns led the team with his 21 points, one assist and seven rebounds.

PICK: I’m going to stay with Oral Roberts here. The Eagles need a quality bounce-back game after a dud versus North Dakota State on Thursday, though. The good news is that Oral Roberts has scored 85 or more points in five of their last six outings and shouldn’t have trouble putting up points here. The Hawks have hit 68 or more in four of the last five themselves so North Dakota may keep up for a while. Ultimately I like Oral Roberts to pull away and cover, though.
