The Northern Colorado Bears punched their ticket to the quarter-finals by virtue of their 74-71 win over FAU in their last matchup. Daylen Kountz led the Bears in scoring with 23 points on 11 of 16 shooting with 3 assists while Kur Jongkuch had 16 points on 7 of 9 shooting with a team-high 12 rebounds and a pair of blocks for the double-double. Bodie Hume had 11 points with 3 threes and 11 rebounds for the double-double while Dru Kuxhausen had 10 points with 3 threes to cap off the scoring in double figures for the Bears in the winning effort.

I get the case to be made either way here as both are riding some momentum after upset wins in their respective first round matchups. However, I feel the stronger play in this game is the over as both teams can score. Northern Colorado doesn’t play a ton of defense, but we’ve also seen Asheville struggle defensively being in the Big South where teams can put up 80 points with some regularity. Give me the over in another high-scoring affair.
