Northwestern only has a loss to Dayton early in the season and since that point they have won two straight games. Two games ago against UIC, Northwestern secured the 83-74 victory. And in the last game Eastern Illinois the defense gave up only 58 points on the way to the nine point victory. It took overtime to get the job done, but they gave up zero points in the extra period to secure the win. Northwestern shot only 26.3 percent from deep, but they allowed Eastern Illinois to shoot only 15.8 percent from deep, and that was the difference. Jalen Leach had a strong game putting up 27 points, one rebound, and one assist. In this game the defense needs to be strong again.
Montana State Fell Just Short
Montana State only has one win this season, but they almost pulled off the victory in teh last game. At halftime they were down 47-33 and in the second half they made a comeback, but but ended up falling just a point short. Brandon Walker was the top player putting up 19 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists. There were four different players that put up at least 10 points. Bryce Zephir came off the bench and put up 14 points. In this game if Montana State wants to find success they are going to need the offense to be good to try and really put the pressure on.

Give me Montana State here, getting the points. Montana State has struggled overall this season, but I am not sold on this Northwestern team. Northwestern had issues getting by Eastern Illinois in the last game and the yare going tor eally struggle again here. Northwestern’s offense isn’t going to run up the score here and Montana State will cover the spread here. Back Montana State against the spread. This is one of my favorite plays for Tuesday.
