The Texas A&M Aggies and the Oklahoma State Cowboys meet Sunday in college basketball action from Gallagher-Iba Arena. Here’s an Oklahoma State vs Texas A&M prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Oklahoma State vs Texas A&M pick.

Texas A&M Aggies Betting Preview

The Aggies were busy in their opening week, as they’ve got two games in the bag already. Texas A&M took on Northwestern State in their opener and didn’t have too many issues. After a 56-35 first-half run, the Aggies hit a 42-33 stretch in the second for a 98-68 win in the end. Leading the scoring was Ruben Dominguez with 18 points in 19 minutes, and both Rylan Griffen (four rebounds; four assists) and Josh Holloway (four assists; three rebounds) chipped in 13 points each. Jacari Lane and Rashuan Agee each had 12 points in the victory as well.

In their second outing of the season on Thursday versus Texas Southern, the Aggies held a modest 41-36 edge at the half. Texas A&M woke up after that on a 63-34 run and took the eventual win 104-70 in the end. Agee was the top scorer this time with 16 points and three assists while Griffen added 14 points with five assists. Marcus Hill had 13 points, and Holloway came in with 12 points, three rebounds and three assists in 18 minutes of action.

Oklahoma State Cowboys Betting Preview

Over on the Oklahoma State side, they logged a 17-18 overall record last season, which was a five-game improvement over the 2023-24 campaign. The Cowboys ended up going 7-13 in Big 12 play, which left them ahead of Cincinnati, UCF, Arizona State and Colorado—near the bottom of the standings. Oklahoma State fell in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament to Cincinnati but did get a bid to the NIT. After wins over Wichita State and SMU in the first two rounds, the Cowboys fell to North Texas in the quarterfinals on March 25, ending their year.

Matched up against Oral Roberts in their first game of the season, the Cowboys were only up 50-46 by the break. Oklahoma State hit a 45-25 run the rest of the way however, ending up with a 95-71 win in the end. Topping the scorers was Vyctorius Miller with 21 points and three rebounds, while Parsa Fallah added 15 points and eight boards. Christian Coleman doubled up on 15 points and 11 rebounds while Jaylen Curry chipped in 13 points with eight boards and six assists in 31 minutes of action on the floor during the winning effort.

Oklahoma State vs Texas A&M Prediction

I’ll lean toward Texas A&M. That said, this will be an interesting matchup and you could probably call it either way. The Aggies are cooking so far this year after a couple of easy wins—despite a rather slow first half versus Texas Southern. Texas A&M ended up shooting 54.1 percent from the field with a nice 23 assists and only eight turnovers in that one. That said, the Aggies also got out-rebounded 31-27 and had a slim margin in points in the paint 36-32. The Tigers also shot quite well (51 percent) from the field, so there’s plenty of stuff for the Aggies to clean up heading into Sunday’s game.

As for the Cowboys, they were great up front in the win over Oral Roberts. Oklahoma State posted a 48-34 rebounding advantage and had a 44-30 edge in the paint. The shooting was also decent (44.4 percent) and the team registered 18 team assists. Sunday’s matchup will be significantly tougher though, so we’ll see how things go. This one seems pretty close to a coin-flip proposition, and it’ll be a fun game to watch.
