The Alabama Crimson Tide and the Oklahoma Sooners meet in college basketball action from the Lloyd Noble Center on Saturday afternoon. Let’s dive into the odds, injuries, matchup history and make a prediction for this game.

Odds

Alabama is listed as a 5.5-point road favorite with a ML price of -275. The total for this game is set at 145.5 points.

Injuries

For Alabama, Nimari Burnett will remain out until early February with a wrist injury while the Sooners will be without Yaya Keita who is out for the season with a shin injury.

Matchup History

Oklahoma’s 66-61 win back on January 30th, 2021, made it four straight wins for the home team in this head-to-head matchup going back to 2007.

Trends

Alabama is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games and 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record. Oklahoma is 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games following a loss.

Pick

I get the case to be made for Oklahoma here, but Oklahoma’s success for the most part this season has come against teams that they can hold down and I just don’t think that Alabama is one of those teams. The Crimson Tide had a bit of a hiccup against Mississippi State, but they’re still the better team by a fair margin here and have played some of their best basketball on the road against much better this season (against teams like Gonzaga and Arkansas). I just don’t think that Oklahoma can keep up for a full 40 minutes, so give me the Crimson Tide laying the points here.
