Oral Roberts vs South Dakota 12/21/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The South Dakota Coyotes and the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Mabee Center. South Dakota enters this one at 5-8 overall. South Dakota managed to go 3-3 over their first six games, losing to Wisconsin, Mississippi State and Sam Houston. The Coyotes are 2-5 in their last seven with losses to Coastal, Air Force, UC Irvine, Coastal again and UMKC. 

On Monday in the UMKC game, the Coyotes were outscored 30-19 in the first half. South Dakota posted 26 points in the second half as they limped to a 62-45 defeat. Tasos Kamateros led the team on 11 points. 

Over on the Oral Roberts side, they’ve lost to Saint Mary’s, Houston and Utah State this year. Otherwise it’s been wins versus John Brown, TX Southern, OBC, Rogers State, Ozark CC, Tulsa, Central AR, Liberty, Missouri State and South Dakota State. 

Matched up against South Dakota State in the Monday game, the Eagles drilled the Jackrabbits 40-21 in the first half and 39-19 in the second for a 79-40 blowout win. Connor Vanover was tops in scoring on 21 points and six boards. 

PICK: I’ll probably stay with Oral Roberts in this one. The Eagles have certainly benefitted from some wins versus overmatched schools this year, however they’ve looked pretty darn solid against comparable squads lately. Oral Roberts is sitting on a seven-game win streak, posting 77 or more points in every game. The Eagles should match up well against South Dakota, who is reeling after a toothless effort versus a mediocre UMKC team. Oral Roberts should be in full control here.
