The Cal Golden Bears and the Oregon State Beavers meet in college basketball action from the Gill Coliseum on Wednesday night.

The Cal Golden Bears will look to rebound from a 68-64 loss to Washington State that extended their current losing skid. Jordan Shepherd leads the Golden Bears in scoring with 13.8 PPG along with 2.5 APG while Andre Kelly has 13.4 PPG with 8.4 RPG to lead California on the glass, but Kelly is now expected to sit out the rest of the season with an ankle injury. Grant Anticevich has 10.3 PPG with 6.8 RPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Cal up to this point in the season. Joel Brown also has 4.9 PPG and a team-high 3.1 APG to lead the Golden Bears in the assist department this year. As a team, Cal is averaging 64.2 PPG on 43.3% shooting from the field, 32.9% from three and 72.7% from the foul line while allowing 66.4 PPG on 42.2% shooting from the field and 31.9% from three this season.

The Oregon State Beavers will be out to snap a seven-game skid of their own after an 86-63 loss at Colorado last time out. Jarod Lucas leads the Beavers in scoring with 13.7 PPG while Warith Alatishe has 10.1 PPG with a team-high 6 RPG to lead the Beavers on the glass as the only other double-digit scorer for Oregon State so far this season. Dashawn Davis also has 9.2 PPG with 3.8 RPG and a team-high 5.2 APG to lead the Beavers in the assist department as well this season. As a team, Oregon State is averaging 67.8 PPG on 44.2% shooting from the field, 31.4% from three and 67.7% from the foul line while allowing 75.6 PPG on 46.6% shooting from the field and 34.8% from three this season.

Cal is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following an ATS win while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 road games against a team with a losing home record. Oregon State is 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games following an ATS loss while the over is 9-1 in their last 10 games following a loss by 20 or more points.

This line’s a bit confusing to me, but I’ll just assume it’s an oversight from the books. As bad as Oregon State’s been this season, I’m not taking, in a near pick ‘em spot, a Cal team that’s 0-7 SU on the road and mired in a double-digit losing streak. The under may not be a bad play either, as I think this is the first to 65 wins, but I’m still taking Oregon State in this spot.
