Oregon State vs Wisconsin-Green Bay 12/18/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Green Bay Phoenix and the Oregon State Beavers meet Sunday in college basketball action from Gill Coliseum. The Phoenix are 2-10 so far this year. Green Bay lost to Stanford in their last game. Green Bay started out the year on a seven-game losing streak before finally registering a win over IUPUI. The Phoenix are 1-3 since then with a win over UMKC and losses to Loyola, St. Thomas MN and Stanford. 

In the Stanford game, the Phoenix were drilled 42-19 in the first half alone. Green Bay was outscored 43-21 from there and lost 85-40. Both Cade Meyer and Randy Tucker led the team with 10 points apiece. 

Over on the Oregon State side, they went 3-4 to start out the year, losing to Portland State, Duke, Florida and Portland State again. The Beavers are 2-2 in their last quartet with wins over Washington and Seattle. 

On Thursday versus Seattle, the Beavers trailed 28-25 going into the second half. Oregon State stormed back on a 48-30 run from there and won 73-58. Jordan Pope was the leading team scorer with 15 points in 25 minutes. 

PICK: I’ll probably stay with Oregon State. Granted, there’s not a ton of intrigue here but Oregon State has played fairly well against comparable teams this year. The Beavers have scored 66 points or fewer in three of their last four games, however Green Bay should give plenty of scoring opportunities. Speaking of the Phoenix, they’ve scored a combined 101 points over their last two games and are really struggling this year. Oregon State should have an open lane to the win/cover.
