Arizona State Sun Devils
The Sun Devils put up a sketchy 6-5 run over their first 11 games, falling to Mississippi State, BYU, San Diego, TCU and Northwestern. Arizona State is 5-2 since then with wins over Stanford, California, Utah, Colorado and USC alongside losses to Washington and UCLA.
In the USC matchup, the Sun Devils jumped out to a 43-36 edge by the break. Arizona State cruised in the second half on a 39-31 run and took the win 82-67 in the end. Jose Perez led the way on 20 points, while both Frankie Collins (seven assists) and Jamiya Neal (nine rebounds) had 17 points each. Arizona State will meet Oregon State after this one.

Oregon Ducks
Over on the Ducks’ side, they started out at 7-3 with losses to Santa Clara, Alabama and Syracuse. After a win streak over Kent State, USC, UCLA, Washington, Washington State and California, Oregon took consecutive losses in their last pair to Colorado and Utah.
Matched up against Utah on Sunday, the Ducks went into halftime with a 33-32 edge. Oregon was outscored 48-44 in the second half though, and lost 80-77. Jermaine Couisnard put up 26 points to lead the team and N’Faly Dante doubled on 23 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
ANDREW’S FREE ARIZONA STATE VS OREGON PREDICTION
I’ll stick with Oregon. The Ducks had a tricky matchup versus a tough Utah team in their last outing, and very nearly pulled off the road win with 44.6 percent shooting, 34 rebounds and 20 team assists. Oregon was a little permissive when it came to shooting (50 percent) and got out-rebounded by three but didn’t play too badly otherwise. The Ducks have been scoring well lately but they’re also giving up quite a bit on defense—73 or more points in five straight outings.
As for Arizona State, they’ve scored 71 or more points in 10 of their 11 wins so far. The Sun Devils aren’t generally scoring so well in their losses, so if they’re going to be competitive here Arizona State will need to find a good offensive rhythm early. I don’t quite think they’ll make it, but this should be an interesting matchup nonetheless.
