The California Baptist Lancers and the Oregon Ducks meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Matthew Knight Arena. Cal Baptist lost to Utah Tech in their last outing, dropping the Lancers to 6-2 overall. As for Oregon, they’re sitting at 6-2 as well following a win over UTEP on Saturday. Cal Baptist Lancers
The Lancers only lost one of their first seven games this year, failing to Portland State 66-63 on November 17. Outside of that, Cal Baptist took out San Francisco State, Jackson State, St. Thomas-Minnesota, Cal Poly, Vanguard and Southern Utah in that time. In the win over the Thunderbirds, Cal Baptist shot a nice 51.5 percent from the floor.
The Lancers took their second loss of the season in their latest matchup versus Utah Tech. Cal Baptist was drilled 41-26 in the first half, but fought back for a respectable 72-69 finish. Dominique Daniels was the only team player in double-figures with 30 points and four assists.

Oregon Ducks
Over on the Oregon side, they kicked off the year on a nice 4-0 run. The wins in that time were versus Georgia, Montana, Tennessee State and Florida A&M. The Ducks would lose the next pair versus Santa Clara and Alabama, but bounce back with an overtime win versus Michigan in game seven.
Oregon kept it going with another victory versus UTEP in their last game. This wasn’t a close finish, as the Ducks hit a 43-24 second-half run for a 71-49 win. Leading the team in scoring was Jermaine Couisnard with 18 points, five steals and five rebounds. Kwame Evans added 12 points with six boards and five steals of his own.
ANDREW’S FREE CAL BAPTIST VS OREGON PREDICTION
I’ll take a stab on Cal Baptist here. The Lancers need a bounce-back effort after the flat game versus Utah Tech, though. Cal Baptist put up 40 percent shooting and a 33-29 rebounding edge in that one, but fell apart on defense with 58.8 percent shooting allowed. In their previous seven games, the Lancers had allowed 66 or fewer points in each outing.
As for Oregon, they started a little slow versus UTEP in their last matchup but steadied the ship in the second half. The Ducks have scored pretty well this year, so Cal Baptist is going to have to control the tempo in this one. I think they’ll pull it off well enough to cover, but it’s going to be close.
