Pacific vs Mount St. Mary’s 11/22/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers and the Pacific Tigers meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Alex G. Spanos Center. Mount St. Mary’s is 2-3 this year following a loss to Cal Poly on Sunday. As for Pacific, they’re sitting at 2-2 overall and coming off a loss to CSU Fullerton. Mount St. Mary’s took a loss to West Virginia 76-58 in their opener after a 30-18 deficit in the first half. A loss to Coppin State came in game two, then the Mountaineers beat McDaniel 60-38 before another loss to USC 83-74. 

Mount St. Mary’s took on Cal Poly in Sunday’s matchup. The Mountaineers scored 30 points in the first half and 43 more from there in a 73-68 win. Jalen Benjamin led the scoring on 18 points and six assists with four rebounds. 

Over on the Pacific side, they took on Stanford in their opener this year. The Tigers fell behind 44-32 by halftime and lost 88-78. Pacific was able to win their next two games however, taking out North Dakota State 91-86 and North Dakota 93-63. 

In game four versus CSU Fullerton back on Friday, the Tigers forced overtime with a 43-37 comeback in the second half. After two extra periods, Pacific ended up with a 94-91 loss. Jordan Ivy-Curry topped the team on 19 points, and Cam Denson added 16 more. 

PICK: I’m going to take Pacific here. The Tigers are coming off a marathon game versus CSU Fullerton in an unfortunate loss. Pacific shot 40.3 percent from the field in that one and got out-rebounded 54-41 (21-13 offensive). The Tigers have been scoring well this year with 78 or more points in all four games. As for Mount St. Mary’s, they’ve got a few good points totals themselves this year and I like them to hang around until the end.
