In this article, we will formulate a Penn vs Brown Prediction for this college basketball game on Friday, January 31st, at the Palestra. Let’s take a look at the Penn Quakers vs Brown Bears pick.

Penn Has Confidence

Penn has some major confidence heading into this game and they have won two games in a row. Two games ago against Harvard, Penn won 82-67 and in the last game against Columbia, they won 93-78. In the second half they outscored Columbia 49-36 and that was the difference. Guard Sma Brown put up 30 points, three rebounds, and two assists. There were five different players that put up at least 11 points.

Penn comes into this game with a 6-11 record overall and they have gone 7-11 against the spread. Penn is averaging 67.4 points while their defense is giving up 74.7 points per game. The offense is ranked 333th in the league while the defense is ranked 271st in the league. They are averaging 25.88 three-point attempts per game which is 75th in the league. Guard Ethan Roberts has been the top player, averaging 17.1 points while shooting 44.1 percent from the field and 38 percent from behind the three-point line.

Brown Fell Just Short

Brown in the last game faced off against Dartmouth and they almost were able to pull out the victory late but they ended up falling short. At halftime Brown was up 52-40 and it looked like they might cruise to the victory. In the second half though they only scored 31 points while the defense gave up 44 points and that led to the defeat. Lyndel Erold had a strong game putting up 20 points, five rebounds, and two assists.

Brown comes into this game with a 9-8 record overall and they have gone 8-9 against the spread. Brown is averaging 73.2 points while their defense is giving up 72.8 points per game. The offense is ranked 221st in the league while the defense is ranked 227th in the league. Kino Lilly Jr. has been the top player averaging 18.2 points while shooting 40.7 percent from the field and 40.8 percent from behind the three-point line.

Penn vs Brown Prediction

Brown fell just short in the last game but they are going to bounce back in a big way here. Brown is averaging 73.2 points and they are going to have no issue bouncing back in a big way. Penn’s defense is giving up 74.7 points per game and they are going to really struggle to defend here. Brown is going to end up cruising here, and they will end up covering the spread here. This is one of my favorite plays on the board.
