The Saint Joseph’s Hawks and the Penn Quakers meet in college basketball action from the Palestra on Wednesday night.

The Saint Joseph’s Hawks will look to rebound from a 75-62 loss to USF in their last game. Erik Reynolds II leads the Hawks in scoring with 18.4 PPG while Cameron Brown has 11.4 PPG with 6.4 RPG this season. Lynn Greer III has 10.4 PPG with a team-high 3.6 APG to lead the Hawks in assists and to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Saint Joseph’s up to this point in the season. Kacper Klaczek also has a team-high 7.4 RPG to lead the Hawks on the glass this season. As a team, Saint Joseph’s is averaging 66.4 PPG on 39.3% shooting from the field, 30.9% from three and 66.1% from the foul line this season.

The Penn Quakers will hope to build on their four-game win streak after an 86-73 win over Delaware last time out. Jordan Dingle leads the Quakers in scoring with 21.1 PPG along with 2.5 APG while Clark Slajchert has 17.3 PPG with 3.1 RPG as the only other double-digit scorer for Penn up to this point in the season. Max Lorca-Lloyd has a team-high 5.2 RPG while Nick Spinoso has a team-high 3.3 APG to lead the Quakers in assists this season. As a team, Penn is averaging 71.9 PPG on 45.7% shooting from the field, 36.8% from behind the arc and 73.2% from the foul line this season.

Saint Joseph’s is 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 road games against a team with a winning home record and 3-0-1 ATs in their last 4 road games against a team with a home winning percentage above .600 while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 road games. Penn is 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 21-8 ATS in their last 29 home games while the over is 7-0 in their last 7 games following an ATS win.

I get the case to be made for either side as these in-state rivalry games can be tricky, but I’m riding the over here. These games between the Quakers and the Hawks have had a history of being higher-scoring in recent years and I don’t see it being any different this time around. Give me the over here.
